SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say they arrested a 68-year-old man for allegedly damaging a street sign… three different times.
State Police say they took Wayne Bailey of Schaghticoke into custody for Making Graffiti, a misdemeanor on Thursday, September 15.
Troopers say they got a complaint from the Quality Deer Management Association who said their sign on State Route 40 in Schaghticoke was damaged with spray paint on two separate occasions earlier this year.
So, members of the organization put a surveillance camera near the sign. When it was damaged a third time last week they viewed the footage.
Authorities say the camera photos show Bailey at the sign early in the morning on both September 14 and 15.
A Trooper located Bailey at his house where he was arrested.
He was processed at the Brunswick barracks and released with an Appearance Ticket for the Town of Schaghticoke Court.
