SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Saratoga Showcase of Homes started this weekend, and although the houses were nice, the cause was even nicer.
The Showcase gave people a peek inside some beautiful, new, local houses, and as nice as some of these local builds were to look at, perhaps the cause was even nicer.
Admission to take a look inside these 20 homes from 16 local builders cost you $20- Money that will go towards local charities.
This year’s proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties, as well as rebuilding together Saratoga.
It’s a cause local builders like Bonacio Builders say they can be proud of.
“Well, it’s great, it’s a great opportunity to do that,” said a Bonacio Builders employee.
“That’s a great feeling, I mean then people do get to experience their own home and they can come home and feel special in their own home, it’s a great feeling,” said Shelly Walker.
Now celebrating its 21st year, the annual event has contributed over $900,000 to local charities.
Not to mention, it always gives you some great design tips.
