GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A man was arrested Saturday morning after an altercation resulted in a weapon being discharged.
The Guilderland Police Department responded to a call on Birchwood Drive for a disturbance at approximately 10:21 a.m.
Police say two males were reportedly fighting in a driveway and a loud pop was heard.
After investigating, police say a physical altercation occurred between two men that knew each other.
Timothy Perales, 28, retrieved a marine flare gun from his car and threatened the victim with it.
He then discharged the weapon in the air.
When a fight ensued, Perales retrieved a baseball bat from his car and made threatening gestures.
When officers arrived, Perales was sitting in his car.
He was taken into custody without an incident.
Perales is charged with reckless endangerment, menacing, and possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
