Calling hours to be held Saturday for local firefighter killed in accident

RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Calling hours will be held Sunday for Doug Noble, a beloved local firefighter killed in a motorcycle accident earlier this week.

The 39-year-old was hit by a tractor-trailer while riding on Route 9 in Schodack Tuesday.

Services will be held at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home in Rensselaer from 2-5 p.m Saturday.

Earlier this week firefighters at Clinton Heights Fire Department postponed their usual drills to remember Noble’s life.

Noble’s fellow firefighters say Noble was a quiet man, but one you always wanted on your side, and always the first to volunteer to help.
