ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a woman wanted out of New Jersey was arrested for driving around in a stolen car.
Authorities say on September 10 just before 11 p.m. police stopped a Hyundai Sonata on I-87 for multiple traffic violations.
Troopers then realized the vehicle was reported stolen to the Albany Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Romona Cordero-Ousmane of Albany was taken into custody, transported, and processed.
After that, it was determined she also had an active arrest warrant out of New Jersey. Police say she was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree; a Class D Felony, Fugitive from Justice and Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
She was arraigned before the City of Albany Court and remanded to the Albany County without bail.
