SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation caught a goose that was hobbling around a local park.
The DEC said the goose was tangled in fishing line at Central Park in Schenectady. It was seen limping around the park.
People who tried to approach the goose to help it free only made things worse by making the goose skittish, according to DEC officials. The department was then called to try to capture it.
The process took an entire day, but after the DEC caught the goose, they removed the fishing line and released it back into the park.
