ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – One of the women involved in the CDTA bus melee in January is now saying she was unfairly dismissed from the University at Albany.
Ariel Agudio filed a petition with the New York State Supreme Court that states her dismissal from the school was improper and the product of an unfair school proceeding. Agudio’s attorney said the university has prevented her from building a proper defense.
Agudio, of Long Island, is one of three students charged in connection with a fight on board a CDTA bus. She rejected a plea deal and is now facing trial.
UAlbany responded with the following statement:
The university is fully confident that the student conduct hearing which led to the dismissal of Ms. Agudio was conducted carefully, fairly and impartially.
