ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Albany County Sheriff’s Office held an open house on Thursday in honor of National Preparedness Month.
The event composed of multiple emergency and safety demonstrations and displays.
“This month is FEMA National Emergency Preparedness Month,” Lee Vormann with the sheriff’s office said. “We have invited a lot of our partners – that we partner throughout the year with – to come over and set up some displays, and invite the public, firemen, police, emergency managers around the county to come out here and visit with us to see what our capabilities are, what kind of equipment we have, and kinda what we do on a day-to-day basis.”
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office holds the event every year to update officials on new procedures.
