ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Area high school students came together on Friday at the New York State Museum to reflect on the September 11 terrorist attacks.
State Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia visited the students at the museum. In commemoration of the attacks on 9/11, high school students from around the Capital Region gathered to tell essays about their memories of that fateful day. They also spoke about how it changed their perspective on the U.S. government.
The seniors were only toddlers when the attacks took place.
This is the 14th year that students came to the exhibit and shared reflection essays.
