Emergency sewer repairs shut down road in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Crews say starting Friday September 9, Albany Street between Kelton Avenue and Elm Street in the city of Schenectady will be closed to all but local traffic in the eastbound direction.

This traffic advisory started at 7 a.m.

Officials say an emergency sewer repair will be performed on the block and is expected to take 5 to 7 days to complete.

Eastbound Albany traffic will be detoured over Brandywine Avenue to State Street while westbound Albany Street will continue to flow unobstructed during the time of the closure.
