SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A local school is offering to help students after another school abruptly closed its doors earlier this week.
ITT Tech announced on Tuesday it was closing all of its campuses nationwide. Thousands of students now have to try and change their plans for school this fall at the last minute.
Schenectady County Community College said it’s welcoming some of those students, and they can still transfer in for the fall semester.
“We recognize that [at] most colleges the fall semester has already begun,” SCCC Dir. of Financial Aid Mark Bessette said. “Here at Schenectady, we have a good opportunity because we have a second session for fall students that begins September 26.”
Credit transfers will be based on courses already taken and determining whether they fit the courses at SCCC.
