Warrensburg pair arrested for possessing drugs, stolen vehicle

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police arrested two people they say had drugs and were operating a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

Police say the driver Jessica Fakess, 30, was found to be intoxicated while operating the vehicle. Fakess and her passenger, 45-year-old William Rowell Jr, were accused of having crack cocaine and glass smoking pipes containing residue.

According to police, they stopped Fakess for multiple motor vehicle and traffic violations at around 4:45 a.m.

Fakess submitted and a breath test which police say her blood alcohol content was 0.10 percent.

She was charged with 4th degree criminal possession of stolen property, 1st degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and multiple motor vehicle and traffic violations.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

Rowell was charged with 4th degree criminal possession of stolen property, 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 2nd degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail.
