COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – This week marks the anniversary of Jackie Porreca’s death.
It was a case that captivated the Capital Region. The local barber was stabbed on August 21st of 2015 in her Colonie Salon. She died two days later in the hospital.
Two men, Sean Moreland and Michael Chmielewski, are both accused in her death. Chmielewski is accused of stabbing Porreca during a robbery and Moreland is accused of driving the getaway car.
Recently, a British documentary filmed at the Albany County Jail gave a disturbing look into the mind of Chmielewski when he allowed producers to interview him.
Earlier this month, the young barber would have celebrated her birthday.
