ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A man and a teenager are facing weapons charges after a shooting and stabbing in the Capital Region.
Police responded to the area of North Manning Boulevard and Lark Drive for a reported shooting on Friday at around 8 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a group of 400 people standing around.
Police say a little after 8 p.m., a man entered the emergency room at Albany Memorial Hospital with stab wounds to his neck and back. The 22-year-old victim was later transported to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation.
His injuries are not being considered life-threatening.
Police say the victim was in the area where the stabbing occurred.
At around 8:30 p.m. police say they stopped a vehicle in the area of Lark Street and State Street after receiving reports that shots were fired in the area.
During the search of the vehicle, police found two loaded flare guns and a loaded BB gun from inside the vehicle.
Police arrested Keith Spencer. 19, of Amsterdam and a 14-year-old juvenile.
Spencer was charged with 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. The juvenile, whose identity is not being released due to his age, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. The child was released to a guardian.
Both the stabbing and shot fired incidents are under investigation.
