Route 40 crash injures three people, one critically

EASTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A mid-morning collision on a stretch of Route 40 in Washington County injured three people, one of them critically, on Wednesday.

Easton Fire Chief Craig Hansen tells NEWS10 ABC’s Anya Tucker that both drivers and a passenger of the two trucks involved were rushed to the hospital. One person is listed in critical condition, one in serious condition, and another with non-life threatening injuries.

Drivers are being diverted as troopers are conducting an investigating into what caused the collision.

An investigator says that the driver of one of the pickups may have suffered some sort of medical condition at the time of the crash.
