Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit on highway

CHARLTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A man is being treated for serious injuries after he was hit while working along side a highway Wednesday morning.

It happened in Charlton on Route 67 at Consaul Road.

Police say 31-year-old Jeremy Almy was working for the highway department and was outside his company vehicle when he was hit by driver 68-year-old Agnes Rodd.

Almy was seriously hurt and was taken to Albany Medical Center.

Rodd was not injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
