TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Opening statements began Tuesday in the trial of a local man accused of killing a Lansingburgh couple.
Jacob Heimroth is accused of beating Allen and Maria Lockrow inside their home two years ago. The jury was seated on Tuesday.
The prosecution plans to call 30 witnesses, including Heimroth’s alleged accomplice, Daniel Reuter.
Reuter accepted a plea deal in exchange for testifying.
