SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Construction remains underway for the Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady.
On Monday, the New York State Gaming Commission spoke to the media before taking a tour of the site.
Regulations have been put into place for the casino. Officials said all games will be well-monitored. Once construction nears the end, employees will head to dealer school for training.
They also plan on hiring more people.
The casino is ahead of schedule and is still planning on opening in early 2017.
