GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A former teaching aide has been convicted on criminal sex act charges.
Kimberly Gittens had been accused of committing a sex act against a then 14-year-old student.
The charges stem from a 2009 incident where Gittens was working at Gloversville Middle School. At the time, Gittens was hired by BOCES and working at the middle school.
Police say the abuse went on until 2012, when the victim reported the abuse to police last year.
She could face up to seven years behind bars when she’s sentenced in September.
