SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police were called to the Courtyard Marriott in Saratoga for a medical call on July 4 following a three day Phish concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Police say Kellie Goff, 38, of Linwood, Penn., had passed away suddenly.
Goff was staying in the room with two other friends and attended the Phish concert that was held from July 1 to July 3. Another occupant in the room, a 37-year-old man from Jersey City, N.J., was transported to Saratoga Hospital after needing medical assistance. Police say he made a full recovery and has been discharged.
The other occupant, a 36-year-old woman from Stowe, Vt., did not have any medical issues.
Police say their investigation doesn’t show any signs of foul play, but may be related to “substance(s) willfully ingested.”
Police are waiting for toxicology results.
Over the three days, police say 26 other people were arrested for a variety of criminal charges, mostly around illegal drugs.
According to police, the drugs they came across at the concert include marijuana, concentrated cannabis, cocaine, heroin, suboxone, hash oil, Ecstasy, MDMA, LSD, bath salts, nitrous oxide (in tanks and balloons), Xanax, rohypnol, and several other types of prescription medications.
