WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A 19-year-old is facing several charges after he is accused of assaulting deputies and trying to escape custody after he was arrested.
Deputies were called to Old Glick Road in Wilton for reports of a man under the influence of narcotics on Saturday.
Police say Austin Brunelle, of Queensbury, N.Y., was driving drunk and on hallucinogenic drugs.
While he was in custody, he is accused of becoming combative and trying to escape by kicking the door of a patrol car.
He is facing numerous charges including assault, DWI, DWI drugs, and criminal mischief.
Brunelle was remanded to Saratoga County Jail for lack of 5,000 cash bail/$10,000 secure bond.
