ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – An Albany man pleaded guilty to shooting and killing another man in October 2014.
On Friday, Ismael Ayala, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of 1st degree manslaughter.
Ayala was accused of shooting Jorge Falu-Garcia in the head and torso, causing his death.
The Albany County District Attorney’s Office says Ayala was arrested in August 2015 for illegal possession of a firearm. Following an investigation, Ayala was charged in the death of Falu-Garcia.
Ayala faces 22 years in State Prison, followed by five years post release supervision, when he is sentenced in September.
