SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The tragedy in Dallas Thursday night prompted some local bikers to come and show their support for local cops.
A Schenectady Sheriff’s Deputy thanked Charlie Farnum and his friends for remembering the officers who were shot and killed.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown asked everyone to remember the fallen officers at noon.
So that’s what Farnum and several of his friends did.
Charlie brought his 12 by 18 foot American flag that a friend who passed on gave to him.
He says he only takes it out on special occasions like today to show support for America and the community.
For a half an hour on Friday, in front of the Schenectady Police Department, Charlie and his friend held up the flag.
The biker community and local police came together to show support for the police and the people of Dallas.
“You hold the flag, it says a lot.”
