MERIDAN, Conn. (NEWS10) — The family of Jason Czech, the Connecticut man who was last seen on Friday on his way to a Phish concert at SPAC, say police have found Jason’s car in Meriden, CT with a deceased body inside.
Police say while the body is likely to be Jason’s, no positive ID has been made at this time.
A medical examiner is currently investigating, and police say an ID will likely be made by Saturday, though the cause of death could take months to determine.
It has been exactly one week since Jason went missing after he was supposed to head to SPAC for a Phish concert.
Police say Czech’s last credit card transaction and contact with family was Friday night, and his last cell phone “ping” was in Meriden, CT on July 4 at 6 p.m.
Police do not suspect foul play at this time.
