ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Dunkin Donuts announced a big donation for a local children’s hospital.
The coffee chain donated $37,195 to the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. The money was raised during the annual Iced Coffee Day when a dollar was donated for every cup of iced coffee sold at Dunkin Donuts stores across the Capital Region.
Connor Naubreit is a patient at the children’s hospital. His parents spoke about the impact of the donation.
“It’s just amazing,” they said. “Every time you walk into the clinic, there’s a huge basket of hats and gloves and toys and everything. You name it. Just amazing.”
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital is a 125-bed facility devoted exclusively to the medical needs of Capital Region children who are severely ill or injured.
Including this year’s donation, Iced Coffee Day has generated more than $153,000 for the children’s hospital since the campaign began in 2012.
