HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Village of Hoosick Falls is asking residents to limit the non-critical use of municipal water due to a construction issue.
The Village is asking residents to refrain from water lawns and garden, filling pools, washing cars, etc. Use of water indoors is permitted, but officials ask residents limit use.
According to the Village, contractors unintentionally cut the electrical supply to parts of the facility, disabling the water treatment plant from drawing water from the municipal supply wells. Water already treated and temporarily housed at the facility in storage tanks will continue to flow to residents’ pipes and faucets.
Officials say due to the limited supply, residents are asked to limit the use of water.
Contractors are currently working at the plant to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
