LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – It was the perfect morning for the Annual Lake George Hike-a-Thon.
The Lake George Conservancy created the one day event in 2013 to showcase the area’s many parks and preserves as free public resources.
Hundreds flocked to participate in 14 simultaneous hiking adventures all around the lake.
Whether they participate each year or came for the first time, the day is a rewarding experience for all.
“Just watching them hike up knowing when they get to the top how proud they are,” Haley Pogonowski, Lake George Hike-a-Thon guide, said. “They see the view, everything I experience when I go on hike, they got to experience as well.”
An aerial shot of each group is taken at the top of each peak.
