Woman flown to Albany Med. following serious ATV crash in Fulton

FULTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say there was a serious ATV accident off a road trail in Schoharie County on Sunday and the victim is in serious condition.

Officials say at 4:38 p.m. 911 Dispatchers received a report of an ATV crash that occurred on an off-road trail over two miles off of Rossman Hill Road in Fulton. It was reported that the victim had sustained a head injury.

Officials say the ATV’s 25 year-old operator, from New Jersey, was driving on a truck trail in a heavily wooded area when she hit a rock and was ejected. The ATV then fell on top of her.

Due to the location of the victim, ATV rescue vehicles were used to transport personnel to the scene. Officials say there were other riders on the ATV at the time, but they were not injured.

The victim was then flown by Life Net Helicopter to Albany Medical Center in critical Condition.

State Police, the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office along with the West Fulton Fire Department,  Middleburg Fire Department, Blenheim Hose Company, Summit Fire Department, the Middleburgh Volunteer Ambulance Corps and County Paramedic were dispatch to the scene.

The State Police are currently investigation this accident.
