ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Two people were sentenced for illegally possessing weapons in Albany.
Karreim Richardson, 32, of Albany, was sentenced to 12 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.
Carlos Linares, 34, of Albany, was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of post-release supervision.
According to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, Richardson was found to have a loaded 0.45 caliber pistol, loaded AR-15, loaded 9 mm caliber handgun, a loaded 0.40 caliber handgun, and a Smith and Wesson handgun on Washington Avenue on July 19, 2015.
Linares was arrested at the same time and location for possessing a loaded AR-15.
Both Richardson and Linares were found guilty on May 12, 2016. Richardson was found guilty of five counts of 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon. Linares was found guilty of one count of 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon.
