MISSISSIPPI (NEWS10) — Miracle flights, the non-profit organization that helps fly kids to get care from medical specialists is celebrating its 100,000th flight!
Here’s the 10-year-old who’s boarding that very special plane ride: Levi Krystosek. He has a rare form of dwarfism and stage one kidney disease.
The Mississippi native is flying to Philadelphia to see his bone doctor once again. Levi Krystosek, “Little Levi” says he has issues with his neck, back and ankles.
This is Levi’s 13th such trip to Philadelphia to get medical treatment.
Wow! Thank you, Miracle Flights. This Miracle Flight was the best. We learned that Levi’s spine does have a 50 degree curve with rotation. If it worsens, Dr. MacKenzie is confident he can rod it. Our researcher, Dr. Harald Jueppner, flew in from Boston to meet with Levi, The Adam Boys and Dr. MacKenzie. These 3 boys were all flown in by Miracle Flights for their medical appointments. We learned that the researchers have good hope for a potential cure. It looks promising. Thank you, Miracle Flights, Ronald McDonald House of Delaware and Alfred I DuPont Hospital. ♡#miracleflights #flyit4ward #littlelevi #theadamboys
