Authorities: Burnt Hills teacher, soccer coach arrested for DWI

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a Burnt Hills teacher, who is also a soccer coach, has been arrested for DWI.

Authorities say they arrested 43-year-old Brian Bold of Schenectady for Aggravated DWI Saturday night.

Police say Bold was driving in Brunswick when he was stopped for a traffic offense. While interviewed by the Trooper, Bold showed signs of intoxication.

He failed sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Bold was processed at the Brunswick barracks where his blood alcohol level was found to be .21 %.

The communications person from Burnt Hills School says Brian Bold is the girl’s varsity soccer coach and also a fourth grade teacher. The spokesperson could not go into the details of the arrest or if they will be taking disciplinary actions because it’s a personal manner.

He was issued tickets and released to a third party. Bold is scheduled to appear in the Town of Brunswick Court at a later date.
