BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police in Brunswick arrested a Nassau man they say was using a car from the dealership he worked at for his own personal use without permission.
State Police arrested 32-year-old John Kawczak of Nassau for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle on Friday.
Police say Kawczak was an employee of a local car dealership and had been using one of their leased cars for personal use without permission. He also took a dealer license plate to use on the car.
Police say Employees located the missing car at Kawczak’s home and returned it to the dealership.
Troopers then located Kawczak at his home and placed him in custody.
He was released with an Appearance Ticket.
Police say Kawczak no longer works for the dealership.
