KINDERHOOK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say two men are accused of trespassing and stealing copper from an auto parts store in Kinderhook.
On June 13, 2016 Troopers were dispatched to Keegan Brothers located on State Route 9H to investigate a trespassing complaint.
When they got there police say 35-year-old Joseph Drabick of Ghent stole automotive parts and copper pipe. It was also discovered that Drabick did not act alone.
Drabick was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth and criminal trespassing degree, all misdemeanors.
A second suspect, 48-year-old David Feller of Hudson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth, possession of burglar tools, criminal mischief in the fourth and criminal trespassing.
Police say Feller fled the scene prior to police arrival. He was located several hours later on Kinderhook Street and placed in custody.
Both defendants were arraigned in the Town of Kinderhook Court.
Drabick was remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Feller was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
