World Blood Donor Day: Where you can give back in the Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – In light of the tragedy in Orlando, it’s an important time to consider giving.

According the American Red Cross, blood donations drop significantly in the summer so they are in need.

On Tuesday there will be three places to donate blood in the Capital Region.

  2. The Everett Road Blood Donation Center will be open from 11:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  3. Vent Fitness on Western Ave. will be collecting blood from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

To show support and share blood donation stories, use the hashtag “GiveInspires” in posts, tweets and photos. Visit the Red Cross website here to search for local blood donation centers near you.
