PARIS (NEWS10) — We’re following breaking news overnight in Paris.

France’s president is now calling a stabbing that left two police officers dead an act of terror.

In new details Tuesday morning, French police say this terror attack left two police officers dead. The killing was video taped, live on the internet by the attacker before he was killed.

The attacker stabbed the off-duty senior police officer and his partner, a female officer. Police say they still are not sure why 25-year-old Larossi Abbala targeted the officers.

The couple’s 3-year-old son was not hurt.

President Francois Hollande says a full investigation is underway to this act of terror.

More than 100 people seen as potential threats have been arrested in and around Paris over the past few weeks.
