Funeral service for well-known Guilderland paramedic held Saturday

GUILDERLAND CENTER, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A funeral service was held Saturday to remember one of Guilderland’s first paramedics.

Richard Beebe lost his life after a motorcycle crash back in May.

The Westmere Fire Department hung a flag off a fire truck and a black band was set across the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad sign all in honor of Beebe.

Beebe is remembered as someone who used his wealth of knowledge to teach other paramedics

Today’s service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Guilderland High School followed by a reception at the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad at 2:30 p.m.
