VOORHEESVILLE, NY (NEWS10) – Motorcycle riders and community leaders came out Saturday for the second annual Kenneth’s ride.
The event was held at Thacher Park in honor of Kenneth White who was strangled, killed, and buried in the snow by his older cousin Tiffany Van Alstyne.
That incident happened in December of 2014 and the community is still healing from that tragic event.
“We all lost something that day. A little piece of our innocence was stolen from us, like Kenneth’s life was stolen from him. And we decided that the small innocent little child, with his whole life in front of him, would not die in vain”, said Michelle Fusco,co-founder of Kenneth’s Army.
You may have noticed a familiar face in the background. News10ABC’s Meteorologist Tim Drawbridge mc’d the event.
State Senator George Amedore and Sheriff Craig Apple also spoke at the event. The money raised at the event will go to a scholarship fund for a Berne-Knox-Westerlo student to further their education in the field of social services.
