(NEWS10) — The 87-year-old from Utah dropped out of high school in 1944 when her dad passed away, leaving her mom to care for her and her seven siblings.
She worked hard to support the family and never went back to school.
This year, her family surprised her by asking the superintendent of the school district if she could walk in this graduation and receive her diploma.
He happily agreed.
But the cool part is she got to graduate with her great-granddaughter.
