US Attorneys asked to look into Cuomo’s handle on Hoosick Falls

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — There are more calls for action in the Hoosick Falls water crisis.

On Friday Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin announced that he’s written a letter to U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara to look into the Cuomo Administration’s handling of the crisis.

McLaughlin cited a recent report that state officials actively withheld information about water quality from people in the village and that they didn’t follow the EPA’s recommended guidelines concerning acceptable PFOA guidelines

In the letter he said “the residents I represent believe that the Cuomo Administration and the Department of Health perpetuated and facilitated the consumption of contaminated village water and demonstrated a pathetic level of accountability and transparency in handling the matter.”
