GREENBURGH, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Authorities say a woman from White Plans sideswiped a NYSP vehicle and another car while they were pulled over – and she was allegedly intoxicated.
Police say on June 2 around 10:15 p.m. State Police were issuing a traffic citation to a 2004 Honda Accord on I-287 at Exit 6 on the right shoulder, when another driver sideswiped the Troop car and then struck the Honda.
The driver of the 2015 Honda Accord was identified as 52-year-old Lisa Buerle of White Plains. Authorities say was found to be intoxicated. She was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15%. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor and Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
Buerle was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court on a later date.
Greenburgh Ambulance responded and tended to the drivers of both Hondas and the Trooper. The driver of the 2004 Honda, 22-year-old Angie Gil of White Plains and Buerle were not injured.
The Trooper sustained an arm and shoulder injury, was treated and released.
