ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials say a small, single engine private aircraft rolled off Runway-1 at Albany International Airport shortly before 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This is the same plane that had a hard landing on Tuesday.
The aircraft was preparing to take off when it left the runway, taxied through the adjoining grass and onto a nearby taxiway.
The pilot, the only person on board the aircraft, was not injured.
The airport was closed briefly to all traffic while emergency equipment responded to the scene.
