FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Fort Edward family of seven is safe today, after an early morning fire ripped through their home.
Fort Edward Assistant fire chief Darcy Miller says the fire started in the garage and quickly spread to the rest of the home.
The family was alerted of the fire by their barking dog along with fire alarms around 2 a.m.
It took the one dozen agencies responding about 20 minutes to knock down the stubborn fire. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting the family, that includes two young children.
