Police: Stone-thrower arrested for chucking rocks inside State Capitol

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a woman has been arrested for allegedly throwing rocks inside the State Capitol.

Officials say on May 24, around 7:30 a.m., police arrested 50-year-old Monya Copeland from Albany for Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and Disorderly Conduct.

Police say Copeland was arrested after she threw two large pieces of stone inside the State Capitol striking a wall near the Washington Avenue checkpoint into the Capitol.

She was issued an appearance ticket scheduled for court on a later date in the city of Albany criminal court.
