Humor, good fun, friendly competition take over during rain delay

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A little rain didn’t damper the spirits of local college baseball players and its fans.

The RPI baseball team faced elimination on Friday in the Liberty League Tournament.

The Engineers were trying to stay alive against Rochester, and the defending league champions were beating the Yellow Jackets 5-3 in the top of the fifth inning.

But then the rain rolled in, and play was suspended…and that’s when the real battle began.

When play resumed later in the evening, RPI won the game 6-3.
