Activists gather at Hudson River to call for end of oil shipments

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Activists gathered on the Hudson River on Friday to form a flotilla that called to “Break Free” from fossil fuels.

The activists formed a sort of blockade with kayaks to try and prevent oil from shipping through the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers.

The kayaktivism is part of a larger demonstration that will take place on Saturday where more than 1,000 protesters plan to block oil trains in the Port of Albany with their bodies.
