Early morning fire at Daily Gazette building under investigation

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Police and fire officials have confirmed fire at the Daily Gazette building early Sunday morning.

Schenectady fire officials say Schenectady Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at the Gazette building around 5:30 Sunday morning.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters saw visible smoke coming from the building and upon entering the building found fire.

Fire officials say the fire is currently out, and there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. They also say the building is structurally sound, but there was significant damage to property inside the building.

The fire is currently under investigation and News 10 will bring you more information as we get it.
