BETHLEHEM, N.Y. – Police say a Binghamton was found driving in the Capital Region with a BAC of .30, over three times the legal limit.
Officials say around 8:19 p.m. on Sunday, State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations after she was driving erratically.
The driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Lyubov Thompson of Binghamton was found to be intoxicated.
She was transported and processed at SP Albany, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.30%. Due to the high blood alcohol level, she was taken to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and subsequently released back into State Police custody. She was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Bethlehem Court.
