(NEWS10) – The 2016 NFL Draft has come to an end and Troy native Jordan Canzeri never heard his name called.

This is not the end of the world considering Canzeri has a shot to play in the National Football League.

The former Iowa Hawkeye and one time Troy Flying Horse told News10ABC if he does not receive a contract between now and next week, he will work out for the Kansas City Chiefs.

And if he and the Chiefs can’t get a deal done, Canzeri will then workout for the New Orleans Saints.

Canzeri rushed for over 2,000 yards in four seasons at Iowa.

Another Troy native Wade Hansen hoped to get drafted but he too did not get the nod.

However, Hansen, like Canzeri will get a chance to prove himself.

The former Virginia Tech, RPI, and Tamarac Offensive Lineman told News10ABC he will try out for the Pittsburgh Steelers during minicamp next weekend.
