ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Ticket brokers that illegally bought and resold tickets in bulk have settled for $2.7 million.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the settlements with six ticket brokers that illegally sold hundreds of thousands of tickets, including on popular resale platforms like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Four of those brokers are also accused of violating state law by using illegal software to buy large numbers of tickets on websites like Ticketmaster before they went on sale to consumers.
