COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say they’ve arrested five people for allegedly being in possession of marijuana, a loaded semi-automatic handgun and heroin.
Authorities say on April 24 Colonie Police pulled over a 2006 Suzuki sedan for failing to signal lane changes on Central Avenue and Karner Road. Police say an odor of marijuana was coming from the car and a passenger, Davon Manning handed the officer a small bag of marijuana when questioned about the odor.
The driver, Monica Deckard was driving with a suspended license and a search of the vehicle revealed a Norinco 9mm semi-automatic handgun loaded with eight rounds. The other four passengers were detained and additional marijuana was found on Manning and Myron Jones. Heroin was found on Tyrell O’Neill.
Police say Manning had a total of 80.1 grams of marijuana, Jones had less than 25 grams of marijuana and O’Neill had a small amount of heroin.
All five were arraigned in Colonie Justice Court on Thursday and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility. Deckard, Manning and Jones had bail set at $10,000 cash or bond and O’Neill and Rivera had bail set at $25,000 cash or bond.
Their next court appearance is scheduled in Colonie Justice Court for a preliminary hearing.

Police say 24-year-old Monica Deckard of Troy is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third and Failure to stay in lane.
Davon Manning, 21 of Niskayuna was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the fourth.
Myron Jones, 24 of Troy was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Tyrell O’Neill, 19 of Colonie was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the seventh.
Robert Rivera, 25 of Colonie was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second.
